"Mama Africa", Tribute to Miriam Makeba at Carnegie Hall
Angelique presented her tribute to Miriam Makeba at Carnegie Hall on Nov 5th, 2014. She revisited many of “Mama Africa” classics like Pata Pata, The Click Song and Mbube. She was joined by the original background singers of Miriam, Vusi Mahlasela, Laura Mvula and Ezra Koenig from band Vampire Weekend. The show was presented by Whoopi Goldberg. Desmond Tutu, Alicia Keys and Jessie Norman attended the sold out concert.
