Angelique receives the Crystal Award from the World Economic Forum in Davos

Angelique was awarded the prestigious Crystal Award by the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland for her tireless humanitarian work as a UNICEF goodwill Ambassador and co founder of the Batonga Foundation. Singer Andrea Boccelli and Architect Shigeru Ban received the same award along with Angelique. Previous awardee include Bono, Youssou N’Dour, Peter Gabriel. The WEC press release said: “The World Economic Forum’s decision to honour Ms. Kidjo during the 21st anniversary edition of the Crystal Awards is a testament not only to her exceptional artistic talent but also to her tireless humanitarian endeavors.
