Angelique Kidjo sings at the Official Kick Off Concert of the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa

For the first time in History the FIFA World Cup was held on the African continent. The 2010 FIFA Official World Cup Kick-off Concert was held at Orlando Stadium in Johannesburg, South Africa. The concert featured an international cast of high-profile musicians including Shakira, Black Eyed Peas, South African trumpeter Hugh Masekela, Benin’s Angelique Kidjo, Malian singer and guitarist Vieux Farka Touré, Amadou & Mariam and Alicia Keys.

Angelique performed a few songs, including "Move on Up" with John Legend, "Afirika", and "Malaika".
